I have no doubt that the parties involved in bashing the President's speech on education are racists. Many are so absorbed with the fact that there is a black president in charge rather than the principles. His speech was not new. In fact his agenda is not new, rather it be about healthcare or the economy; but he is! He is a very new face in the country as well a globally. He has been scruntinized 100 times more than any president begining with his first 100 days in office. If people could just ignore the face and the race they may be able to hear and see we are all on the same page afterall. We as Americans, no matter the race or ethnic background desire the same things, have similar concerns and share many of the same values. I appreciate my current president and any president, regardless of race, creed or party that has the people's best interest at heart. Reply to this
I am child of God with a supporting wife and loving family. I have four boys who make me "One Proud Dad". There are the Twins, both recent college grads. Then there's my very cool seven year old, and my terrific two year old. It just doesn't get any better than this! I am your average American citizen, interested in politics for the people by the people. I think President Obama said it best, "this is not a Red America or a Blue America, a White America or a Black America, but the United States of America". Therefore, it is our obligation as Americans to work together, in the spirit of bi-partisanship, to make this country great and the American dream attainable for those who seek it. Whether governed by Republican or Democrat, I am most interested in a fair and just political process. I beleive in prayer for our political leaders. A registered Democrat, my politics are Left of Center.
