Back-to-School Controversy over President Obama's Speech to Students. Politically Motivated?
Many school districts across the country making a decision not to allow the President of the United States of America to address to school children. Are these decisions politically motivated?
Unless one is adverse to local, or national, news coverage, there has been a consorted effort by single party politics, both locally and nationally, to protest the national airing of President Obama’s speech to K-6 students.
Single party politics are urging parents to protest the airing of the Presidential Address on education by pulling children out of school on the day of the address sighting, “they want to avoid their children from being exposed to the rhetoric of a Socialist President.” These abashing statements are absurd, and politically motivated, to invoke an unfair public response, and influence entire school systems to cancel a Presidential Address on education.
As a parent, I am applaud and outraged, that single party politics and media driven propaganda, has influenced certain Schools to not air the live broadcast of President Obama’s speech on education to schools.
Parents of these schools are made up of various political party voters, all of who pay tax dollars into the School System. Partisan politics should not be allowed to dictate local school airing of the Presidential Address. Many past presidents have made a public address to school children without a protest that lead to a countywide, “blackout” based on the ridicules objections, and false biases, of single party politics.
I wonder if school districts across the country are prepared to deny all public officials, or politicians, from ever speaking to school’s in the future. Or, is this an offensive set aside for this particular President, for a particular single party agenda? Shameful!!!
There needs to be public outrage, and parental concerned, that there has already begun an indoctrination in the school system by single party politics, teaching our children that lies, false statements, and distortion is a means necessary when attempting to regain power and control. Reprehensible!!!

I think it's a very sad day in America when we deny our kids the opportunity to hear how important education is and an encouraging word to stay in school and do well, regardless of who it's coming from. To deny kids the opportunity to hear from the leader of their country is definitely a political agenda with no real concern for what is best for the kids. If there were real concern about the message the educators should do what they do with all their lessons, review it first then decide if they should share it with the kids. Instead, they are teaching kids to be judgmental by listening to the comments of others rather than use their own minds to make their own decisions.

Of course there was some political motivation on the part of the Florida GOP leader. I believe he lowered the bar for political discourse in our country. All presidents deserve the right to address the nation’s youth. I believe the only thing that was a screw up was the attempt to create a lesson plan. I grant that this was an innocent mistake by someone who really admires the President. That person didn’t even realize that it is unlawful for the federal government to enforce a lesson plan.
The reaction by some parents also indicate that people’s perception of the President has shifted greatly since the inauguration. I personally know several conservatives, libertarians and centrists who voted for President Obama (nearly all of them white people.) They believed that he was a pragmatic, slightly left of center politician whom they could trust. These people gave him a pass on all the controversies, because he seemed so reasonable. Based on the appearance and demeanor of the first family, these same people concluded that this was an acceptable image for an American president. One we can all be proud of. After all this proves we are no longer a racist country if we elect him. He can’t possibly be the socialist that the right-wing media was screaming about last year. By his appointments and his actions he has betrayed those same people who thought he was a moderate in liberal clothing.
If he is not a socialist the President definitely has socialist tendencies. He strongly believes in government control of large segments of the economy, income redistribution and has surrounded himself with some far-left Czars and staff members. People are watching the country change into something that they do not recognize and they are scared. I think this moment revealed that for some people their emotions about the state of the economy and the path of the government are reaching a crisis level. I hope the President recognizes the mood of the country and retools his agenda. He needs to settle the country down before somebody does something stupid.
